BEACH ACCESS

"The Dunes" is very close to the Matapouri beachfront. The subdivision allows for easy access to Matapouri Beach via the recently created beach-front Reserve. There is no road between The Dunes Estate and the beach itself.

Other beaches within easy walking distance include Whale Bay, a perfect tree-lined crescent of white sand, Pebbly Bay and Cabbage Tree Bay. To the north, Woolleys Bay and the popular surfing beach Sandy Bay are only a few minutes away by road.
